FireBar Labs

FireBalance Roll-On is FireBar Labs' topical wellness product — the one you reach for after a long day, a hard workout, or a long-weekend hike that beat up your calves more than you expected.

There are two variants: Ice (with THC, $40) and Fire (without THC, $35). Both share the same multi-cannabinoid base, but they're designed for different use cases.

This is the plain-English breakdown of what's in each, what it's for, and how to pick the one that fits.

The shared formulation base

Both Ice and Fire contain:

  • CBD (cannabidiol): the primary hemp-derived cannabinoid. Best-known for topical wellness applications.
  • CBG (cannabigerol): sometimes called "the mother cannabinoid." Often appears alongside CBD in topicals for its complementary properties.
  • Menthol: for the cooling sensation
  • Arnica: traditional botanical for topical use
  • Camphor: for the warming-cooling contrast and aromatic quality

Both are third-party lab tested — every batch goes through independent verification before it ships. Lab certificates are searchable by product on firebarlabs.com/pages/lab-results.

What's different — Ice vs Fire

Ice ($40) includes 2000mg of THC in addition to the shared base. This is the version for people who want the broader cannabinoid effect alongside the topical experience. Federal hemp-derived, third-party lab verified, Farm Bill compliant.

Fire ($35) has no THC — just the multi-cannabinoid base plus the topical additives. This is the version for people who want the wellness effect without any THC at all. Workplace drug-test compatible, federally simple.

When to pick Ice

The Ice version is what most customers reach for after:

  • A long hike where your legs are sore
  • A workout that hit harder than expected
  • An evening where you want the wind-down adjacent effect of THC alongside the topical
  • A travel day where you've been on your feet for hours

The combination of THC + the cooling menthol + the multi-cannabinoid base is what makes Ice feel different from a standard CBD topical. It's not a smoking-replacement or an edibles-replacement. It's specifically a topical experience — applied to the skin, not consumed.

When to pick Fire

The Fire version is the right pick if you:

  • Have workplace drug testing
  • Don't want any THC in your topical for personal preference reasons
  • Want the cooling-warming sensation + multi-cannabinoid base without the THC component
  • Are buying for someone who has reservations about THC products

Fire is also the safer travel option in states where THC topicals are gray-area legally. Federally Farm Bill compliant, but state laws on THC topicals vary.

How to use it

Both versions use the same application method:

  1. Roll the metal ball-tip onto the skin where you want it.
  2. Apply in a thin layer — more isn't more.
  3. Re-apply after 4-6 hours if needed.

The cooling sensation kicks in within 30-60 seconds. The deeper cannabinoid effect takes longer (10-30 minutes) and lasts for a few hours.

Don't apply to broken skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. Standard topical-product caveats apply.

What this is NOT

Important to be clear, given how the wellness category has earned some skepticism:

  • Not a medical product. FireBalance Roll-On is not approved by the FDA to treat, cure, or prevent any condition. We don't make medical claims. If you have a specific health concern, talk to your doctor — we're not them.
  • Not a smoking-replacement. It's a topical. The experience is fundamentally different from smoking, vaping, or eating cannabis.
  • Not a "high". Even the Ice version with 2000mg THC is applied topically; the systemic absorption profile is different from oral consumption.

What it IS: a topical wellness product that uses a multi-cannabinoid formulation in a roll-on format. Used for the same general purposes people have used menthol-arnica-camphor topicals for decades, with the addition of the cannabinoid base.

Pairing with your discreet carry

Both versions of FireBalance Roll-On travel well. TSA-friendly under 3.4 oz (both bottles qualify). They fit in the small zipper pocket of any Executive Tech bag, and they don't have a strong odor that needs the activated coconut charcoal lining to manage.

For any long-weekend trip — Fire or Ice tossed in your carry is the "wind-down at end of day" move that customers come back for.

FAQ

Q: Will Ice show up on a drug test? A: Possibly yes, depending on the test sensitivity and the amount used. Don't use the Ice version if you have workplace drug testing. The Fire version contains no THC and is workplace-test compatible (within standard limits).

Q: How long does one bottle last? A: Typical use is 4-6 weeks for daily applicators, longer for occasional users. The roll-on format keeps the product fresh — no air exposure like a jar.

Q: Are there sources for the lab certificates? A: Yes. Lab certificates are looked up by product name on firebarlabs.com/pages/lab-results. Every consumable product line has its own certificate. (Note: certificates are NOT shipped with the product or emailed as a PDF — they live on the website lab page.)

Q: Can I use Fire if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding? A: Talk to your doctor first. We don't have specific guidance on this, and the standard answer for any topical CBD product is "consult your healthcare provider."

Q: What's the difference between FireBalance and other CBD roll-ons? A: Multi-cannabinoid base (CBD + CBG, not just CBD alone), full disclosure on what's inside, third-party lab verified per batch, two options (with and without THC). Most CBD roll-ons are CBD-only and don't make the THC option available transparently.
