When we built FireBar Labs, we started with bags — the most-obvious place to engineer scent containment. But our customers kept asking the same question: "Can you do this in apparel?"
That ask became the StealthWear collection. The Hoodie and the Joggers carry the FireBar Labs engineering into a daily-wear garment with a secret pocket designed for the same job the bags do — without changing what the garment looks like on the outside.
This post is the inside view.
What it is
StealthWear is two pieces (plus the Set, which is both):
- The Hoodie — a heavyweight cotton-blend hoodie that wears like the premium hoodie you'd buy if you were just shopping for a hoodie. Standard fit, premium fabric, drawstring hood, kangaroo pocket. Available in five sizes (S through 2XL).
- The Joggers — matching heavyweight cotton-blend joggers with elastic waist, drawstring, and tapered leg. Available in six sizes (S through 3XL).
Both pieces share one feature most hoodies and joggers don't: a hidden secret pocket lined with activated coconut charcoal, sized to hold a phone, a small container, or whatever you'd otherwise have to put in your bag.
How the secret pocket actually works
The pocket is a sewn-in compartment with a zip closure, located in a position that's easy to access but invisible from outside the garment. The lining is activated coconut charcoal — the same material used in the bags' interior — which traps and neutralizes scent inside the pocket without the rest of the garment carrying any of it.
The key engineering choice: the charcoal lining is inside the secret pocket only, not throughout the garment. This matters for two reasons.
First, the rest of the garment wears like the garment you'd buy if you were just shopping for a hoodie — soft, breathable, normal weight, normal feel. There's no chemical-smell, no stiffness, no carbon dust working its way out of the fabric.
Second, the charcoal works better concentrated in the pocket than diluted across the garment. Scent containment is a function of charcoal surface area in direct contact with the scent source. Concentrating the charcoal where the contents are gives you more containment per gram of material.
How it's different from the bags
The bags use a different approach. Inside an Executive Tech bag, the entire interior compartment is sealed with multi-layered carbon liner and a gasket-sealed zipper. The whole interior is the smell-proof space.
In StealthWear, the carbon-lined zone is the secret pocket — not the whole garment. This is a deliberate design choice for two reasons:
- Comfort. You wear the hoodie. You don't wear the bag. A garment that's smell-proof throughout would feel different from a normal hoodie. The pocket-only approach keeps the garment normal.
- Discreet design. A garment that looks like a smell-proof garment defeats the purpose. The StealthWear pieces look like premium everyday-wear because that's what they are — with a feature added inside that doesn't change the outside.
When to wear what
A few practical scenarios:
- Daily errands — the Hoodie or the Set is the easy pick. Throw it on, the pocket carries what you need, you don't think about it.
- Travel days — pair the Joggers with the Hybrid Duffle. The Joggers' secret pocket holds your phone + chargers + the small daily-carry stuff while the bag handles the rest.
- Layered carry — wear the Hoodie over a t-shirt with the Crossbody at your hip. Two carry zones — the secret pocket for fastest-access items, the bag for the rest. Most people who own both end up wearing them together.
- Lighter day — if you don't want to carry a bag at all, the Set (Hoodie + Joggers) gives you two secret pockets and full daily-carry coverage without a bag in sight.
Care
The hoodie and joggers wash like normal heavyweight cotton-blend pieces — cold wash, hang dry preferred (tumble low works). The secret pocket's charcoal lining doesn't degrade with normal washing. The carbon is bonded into the fabric, not coated on top, so it doesn't wash out.
The pocket retains its scent-containing function for the life of the garment.
Sizing
The Hoodie + Joggers run true to size. If you're between sizes and want a slightly relaxed fit, size up. If you want a snug athletic fit, stay true. The Set includes both pieces in the same size you specify.
The StealthWear collection is the engineering applied to apparel — same principle as the bags, different format. If you've been thinking about it, the Hoodie alone is the most-versatile starting point. The Set is where most repeat customers land after the first piece.
